About Newveau Festival
Newveau Festival was founded in 2025 to provide a space for Oregon’s wine country community to celebrate the end of harvest with winemakers. We want it to be a fresh take on a time-honored tradition.
Inspired by (but not beholden to) France’s beloved Beaujolais Nouveau celebration, our one-day festival brings the joy and energy of harvest to the heart of Oregon wine country with a uniquely local twist.
Every year, harvest workers and interns descend on the Willamette Valley to harvest the bounty of the vines, work hard for several weeks, and then complete the job without so much as a toast raised to their hard work. Winemakers go straight from the vineyards to the cellars to the tasting rooms.
We hope this festival can be our community’s “thank you” to all those who make this industry happen.
At its core, Newveau is about connection. Nick and Branden are always looking for ways to bring people together and build connections (and of course, have a heckuva time). We saw this as a chance for our community to come together with the winemakers, growers, harvest crews, and culinary artists who make this region thrive.
The festival invites everyone—from curious newcomers to lifelong wine lovers—to enjoy vibrant nouveau-style wine releases, cozy seasonal food, and the laid-back charm of a town that knows how to celebrate.
We honor the hard work behind the bottle—especially the harvest workers whose hands make the magic happen—and we do it in true Newberg fashion: warm, welcoming, and unpretentious. Come raise a glass with us on November 20, 2026 to those who make it all happen!
What is Newveau Fest Like?
Our first year was a hoot-n-a-holler, and we’re looking forward to coming back stronger in 2026.
We intentionally price the festival at $35 per person, making it as affordable as possible so that there is a lower barrier of entry. That admission includes your first five tastes, or one-ounce pours, from your wineries of choice.
Last year we featured 12 area wineries, who nearly all brought a nouveau-style wine (one had production difficulties). Each winery also featured a few other wines from their catalog, which were available for purchase.
We had two live music acts playing the whole night, starting with local bluegrass act Knuckle Grease Station opening things up and then a live vinyl DJ set from one of the winemakers to close things out. \
During the event, we had a local chef cooking up warm coq au vin, melty cheese potatoes and ham, and other small bites.
Just over 300 people came through the doors in our first year, and this year we’re hoping for the same, if not a couple more. Our new venue (at 306 N Main Street) will have both indoor and outdoor spaces (last year we were SO lucky with the weather) and plenty of heaters to go around.
Expect to walk in to the festival hearing the sounds of live local talented musicians, seeing the sights of people meeting and greeting, smelling the allure of comforting food, feeling the warmth of community, and soon after, tasting the first flavors of the harvest.
We can’t wait to show you first hand. Tickets go on sale in October 2026.
